The category of brows is something I’ve never really gotten into until as of late. I didn’t feel the need to switch up my brow routine, then I realized that I was running out of my beloved Charlotte Tilbury Brow Lift Pencil and all of a sudden I have 5 new brow products (4 of which are NYX). A little side note I want to add is that on the Ulta website all of the NYX brow products are buy 1 get 1 50% off, so now is the time to try some new products.
- NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Expresso: This was the first of the bunch that I tried and it was a difficult to get the hang of at first. I’m use to using a brow pencil with a angle to it, not a fine tip, but surprisingly I find that I like the fine tip just as much if not more then an angled one. It allows me to make smaller strokes with the pencil which gives the brows a more natural appearance. Definitely a winner in my beauty book.
- NYX Eyebrow Gel in Expresso: A product I found a little harder to work with was the eyebrow gel. It’s not convenient for someone lets say in school or work who is trying to get ready quickly in the morning. You have to squeeze a penny size amount if that on the back of your hand and dip an angled brush into it and carefully fill in your brows all while trying not to make a mess. Also I noticed that it sets extremely fast which means you’ll have to work quickly.
- NYX Tame & Frame Tinted Brow Pomade in Black: The product I was most excited to try was the tinted brow pomade. I feel like I’ve heard everyone in the beauty world rave about some kind of brow pomade and when an affordable option popped up at the drugstore I knew I had to get my hands on it. This product I would say is better for people who like to go for more of a strong brow. Personally I’m more of a natural brow girl. I’m not saying this is a bad product, I just don’t think I will be reaching for it on a daily basis.
- NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in Expresso: Finally we have come to the last brow enhancer, a tinted brow mascara. You can use this product two different ways, 1) wearing it alone for more of a natural look or 2) applying it on top of your brow pencil to set and add some color. Normally I go for option 1 and I find that it’s my favorite tinted brow mascara I’ve used in a long time. Definitely something I find myself reaching for on those “no makeup” makeup days.
