Fall Candle Haul | October 2014

IMG_1010

Hello beauties!! There should be no surprise in what I’m talking about today. Every beauty blogger goes crazy when Bath and Body Works brings out their fall candles… and I’m no exception! I’ve been known to burn a couple candles in my lifetime  but when the fall candles come out it’s a whole new ball game. That’s why the 2 for $22 sale came I had to jump on it!!

I know this might seem a little crazy that I bought 8 candles but I swear their all gonna get completely used up. The first candle I picked up was of course Sweater Weather. I mean honestly how could you pass up this candle and too boot it smells amazing! Pumpkin Sugared Doughnut is best described as an spicy autumn treat smell. The only thing I don’t like about this candle is that it’s orange. I love when my candles match the decor of my room so I’m not to thrilled about that. Mahogany Teakwood is perfect for snuggling up on a cold, cozy day with a warm cup of hot chocolate. Since I live in Florida though those cold days are few and far between but that doesn’t stop me.  And last but not least Marshmallow Fireside. This is an essential fall candle. I love the mix of vanilla and smoldering woods. If you guys are in love with a candle that I didn’t pick up let me know in a comment below! My Favorite Fall Mascara | Benefit

IMG_0854 Hello beauties!! Today I wanted to share my favorite fall mascara. Normally I stick to the same drugstore mascaras but a couple months ago I was in Ulta casually browsing the high end makeup section (as one does) and I got sucked in. I got sucked in to buy the Benefit They’re Real Mascara. My favorite thing about Benefit in general is there packaging and this mascara is no exception. The packaging is sleek, perfect to put on your vanity!! IMG_0850.JPG

This wand is definitely unique. It has little spiked balls on the end of it which is perfect for getting the inner corner lashes. The main part of the wand really helps to separate my lashes and add volume. But when it comes to my bottom lashes this mascara is not my favorite. I find that is smudges and clumps my lower lashes together which I’m not a huge fan of. Overall though I have been reaching for this mascara the most this fall. What is the mascara you have been reaching for this fall?  I hope you beauties enjoyed this blog post! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram: @BEAUTYCHATWITHLEXI.

Special Occasion Hair and Makeup Look

IMG_0643

Hello beauties!! It has been way to long since I posted a blog post and I hate that. The biggest thing I struggle with is balancing my time between school, my blog, and just relaxing. But don’t worry because I’m going to be posting a lot more since I only have couple more weeks left of school. For those of you who know me I’m more of a natural makeup kind of girl but let’s be real they’re are some occasions where you just need to go darker.

One of the most important steps is priming your eyelids. I just took a skin tone concealer and applied it to my eyelids to cover any redness. After primer I took my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette which has seen better days and applied YDK all over my eyelids. It’s a gorgeous warm, coppery brown color with the perfect amount of shimmer in it.

IMG_0637Now going into the Urban Decay Naked Palette take the color Buck on a fluffy blending brush and buff it into your crease. The best part about this makeup look is that your can leave the look here and just add some mascara, eyeliner and be good to go. But if you want to smoke it out #don’tstop.

Now going into the 3rd Urban Decay Naked Palette take Factory on a pencil brush and buff that into your outer corner and slightly into your crease. If you don’t have all 3 of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes there is a ton of similar options high end and drugstore you can use. #don’tworry IMG_0628

As of recent I have been obsessed with gel liner. On an everyday basis I’ll use a dark brown color but for a special occasion I’d recommend Black. To deepen up the look even more apply a Black Pencil Liner to your waterline. But if your not into black eyeliner on your waterline you can always use a skin tone liner to brighten your eye. One of the most important steps in any eye look is mascara. To get bold lashes definitely go with the Benefit They’re Real Mascara.

Since fall is officially here its safe to say that your tan and mine are wearing away. So to make it look like you’ve been sunbathing in Hawaii I like to use the Too Faced Sunny Bunny Natural Bronzer. This bronzer is not completely matte which I prefer because it doesn’t make your face appear flat. Now going into blush. I love a more matte blush in the fall time opposed to a shimmery blush. At the moment my favorite has been the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush: Exposed.

Since you have shimmer on the eyes I want to keep the lips matte. My favorite matte lip option are the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms: SultryThis lip color is super pigmented so you have to be extremely careful applying it.

For my hair I used a Tapered 1″ Conair Curling Wand . After I curled my hair I brushed through it to give it more of a loose, messy, beachy look. If you guys want to recreate this look I would love to see. All you have to do is use the #beautychatwithlexi or tag me on Instagram @beautychatwithlexi. I hope you beauties enjoyed this!!
